The Summit Purbanchol Power Company received Tk 134.76 crore against public offering of Tk 120 crore.
 According the information posted in the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) the company received Tk 133.14 crore from 2.58 lakh general applicants while it received Tk 1.61 crore from 17,000 NBR applicants (till November 22).
 The Initial Public Offering (IPO) subscription of Summit Purbanchol Power began on November 11 and ended November 24.
Using the fixed price method, the Summit Purbanchol Power Company  offloaded three crore ordinary shares of Tk 10 each at an offer price of Tk 40, including a premium of Tk 30 each.
With the proceedings from the IPO (initial public offering), the company will pay off its liabilities that are in the form of preference shares.
According the financial statement of 2010, the company’s earnings per share is Tk 5.18, while the net asset value per share is around Tk 21.
Summit Purbanchol Power Company has two power plants — Rupganj Power Plant in Narayanganj and Jangalia Power Plant in Comilla, each of which generates 33MW power.
After listing with the bourse, it will be the 14th company in power sector.
Prime Finance Capital Management Ltd will act as the issue manager of the Summit Purbanchol Power Company’s IPO.
