Aman Feed makes debut today

Aman Feed Limited (AFL), a concern of Aman Group, is set to begin trade on stock exchanges today (Tuesday) under 'N' category, officials said.

DSE trading code for Aman Feed is 'AMANFEED' and DSE company code is 99641 while the CSE scrip Id is 32021, scrip code is 'AMANFEED'.

It is the 13th listed firm in the miscellaneous sector that accounts for around 3.0 per cent of the premier bourse's total market capitalisation.

The fisheries and livestock feed producer and supplier floated 20 million ordinary shares at an offer price of Tk 36 each, including Tk 26 as premium with ten taka share and raised a fund worth Tk 720 million from the public.


The company has reported Tk 215.73 million and basic EPS was Tk. 3.60 for the nine months period (July 2014 to March 2015) as against profit after tax of Tk 198.54 million and basic EPS of Tk 3.31 for the same period of the previous year.

However, considering Post-IPO 80,000,000 number of shares, company's basic EPS would be Tk 2.70 for nine months (July 2014 to March 2015) and NAV per share would be Tk 34.77 as on 31 March 2015.

The company's paid-up capital is Tk 800 million and authorized capital Tk 1,500 million.

IPO subscription of the company was held between May 25 and June 4 and raised a fund worth Tk 720 million from the public.

The company received above Tk 9.10 billion against public issue of IPO of Tk 720 million, which was oversubscribed by 12.64 times. LankaBangla Investments acted as issue manager for the IPO.

The company will use the funds from the initial public offering for business expansion, repayment of long-term loan, meet working capital and IPO expenses, according to IPO prospectus.

The stock market regulator -- Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) approved the IPO proposal of Aman Feed on April 9, this year.

Based in Sirajgonj, the company started its commercial production on July 12, 2006. Aman Feed is engaged in producing and distributing poultry, fish, shrimp and cattle feed, according to the company's website.

At present, the company's production capacity is 6,000 tonnes a month, and it reaches out to customers through more than 200 dealers across the country.
