Step by Step Study in Germany

►Step 1►

Basic Requirements :

A. Most of the German universities ask for the grade of 2.5 (which is equal to 70%) or better (better means less than 2.5) on the scale of 1-4 and are reluctant to accept applicants with a CGPA below 70%, especially in the case of English-taught graduate programs. With a CGPA between 60 and 70 percentage, what is considered “average” in Germany & some institutions may look only your SOP and Resume, some SOP, Recommendation letters & Resume, some including your Bachelor degree individual marks, work experience, language requirements & TOEFL/IELTS (some consider IELTS even if you have overall 5.5 or 6.0 also)…there are still options for you, as long as you are flexible regarding the choice of program and institutionBut this really doesn’t  indicate  that you’re off limits to apply for higher education if you’re below this scale. Recommended Scores:
  • In Bachelor’s degree: 70% & above.
  • In TOEFL/IELTS: ibt 79 & above/ 6.5(& above) overall with no less than 5.5 band in individual band scores.


B. For Bachelor level IELTS 6 & Masters 6.5

C. Need to complete HSC+2 year from university to apply BSc
Need to complete BSc (4 Years) to apply for MS/MSc,

D. A valid passport with minimum 1 year validity.

E. All the certificates,transcripts and other educational documents in English Language.

F. Financial ability - No Application Fee Unless apply via Uni-Assist 68 Euro+8040 Euro block account+Air Ticket 600-700 Euro+Hand Cash 1000-1500 = Total 11-12 Lakh

►Step 2►

Course Search :

► After opening the link and you'll see Degree / Level, Field of Study, Course Language, Location etc.

► Fill those items and select search

► Then you will see subject list, Select any one of those which one you like

After selecting the subject you will see one new window will open with details.

► First menu named "Overview" and it contains information about degree, Course language, Admission semester, Beginning, Programme duration, Deadline, Course Content .

► Second Menu named Course Details and
► Third menu named "Costs/Funding" and it contains details information about Tuition fees, Enrolment fees, Costs of living, Costs of living. Most of the university do not charge tuition fees but they charge enrolment fees 100-300 Euro

► Fourth menu named Requirements" and it contains detail information about Language requirements, Academic requirements, Where to apply
► Fifth menu named "Services" contains information like arrival support,Accommodation etc.

►Sixth menu named "More" and contains information about university.

►Step 3►

Documents Attested

You can do Notary or attested from German Embassy.Ask your university what they want.You can do attested free from German Embassy and they needs some time like 21Days.

►Step 4►

Apply to University

If everything match with your qualification and you want to apply then go on, Just check how you have to apply?
Apply Direct to the University
Apply via uni-assist

If you see "Apply Direct to the University" then no worries but if you see "apply via uni-assist" Then you have to apply via Uni assist and needs to pay some money!!!


Uni-Assist : uni-assist is a central service that helps international students apply for a place at a German university. uni-assist checks your documents on behalf of the universities and contacts you if anything is missing. If your documents are in order, uni-assist posses on your application to the universities. The advantage of this procedure is that through uni-assist, you can use a set of application documents to apply for a place at several universities.

For one or the first of several applications in the same semester are charged 68 Euro.

For each additional application to a further university within the same semester all applicants are charged per university 15 Euro.

Create an account>upload all the required documents>send all the documents via postal mail.

Application process is vary university to university. So ask everything about application.Normally you have to fill online application form and print then signed and send along with other documents.

Other Documents:

A. a simple copy of your passport (page with name and photo)
B. proof of language proficiency
C. SSC + HSC certificate & Trancripts
D. Bachelor certificate & Trancripts
E. a passport-sized photo
E. Letters of Recommendation
F. Statement of purpose
G. Certificates of professional experience (If you have)
H. German Language experience (If you have)
I. Any relevant documents those may help you

Deadline:

Winter semester 15 July, vary university to university and all the subjects are available.

Summer semester 15 January, vary university to university and all the subjects are not available.

Send all the required documents by Post or DHL. Wait some time, Within two months you will get your admission result. If your application is successful, you will be offered a place at a German university.

Step 5

Visa Application
As soon as you get the offer letter you have to make an Appointment for visa application.

►Block Account
If you want to study in Germany (study, apply for a study, pre-study language course) you have to submit proof that your financial means are adequate for that purpose.
You can do it in two ways. Either from any commercial Bank in Bangladesh or from any German bank.
If you do it from Bangladesh, Go to any commercial Bank(EBL/DBBL/ Etc.), And ask for Students file (Blocked Account). They will manage everything and if all the papers are ready you will get the Blocked Account Certificate within one day. 
The blocked account must have the following conditions:
A. to transfer the amount to a bank account in Germany, if the student gets the visa.
B. to be paid back to the student, if he/she shows his/her visa refusal from the Embassy....Don't worry about it!
Opening a Blocked Account – Deutsche Bank
  1. The minimum amount to be paid into the account is 670, - Euros per month of your intended period of stay. If you plan to stay more than one year it is sufficient to transfer the amount for the first year into the account (8040, - Euros).
  2. Due to the relevant German regulations the Embassy is not allowed to assist you in opening your account by confirming your signature on the bank's application forms.
  3. Send an email in German or English language to the Deutsche Bank db.student@db.com and ask for the necessary documents to open a restricted account (Sperrkonto)
  4. Fill in the forms and bring them and your passport to the Embassy/Consulate; the Embassy will then notarize your signature and a copy of your passport (u have to pay fee: BDT.1500/-)
  5. Send the documents (originals) to the German address(Hamburg) given in the form
  6. Pay the amount mentioned above into the account, as soon as you have received the    necessary data from the bank

After this procedure, you will receive a confirmation from the bank through E-Mail, stating that you have successfully opened your Bank account.

Insurance
You have to make insurance for 3 months from Bangladesh.

Now that you have all the academic documents, Visa documents; you are ready for the first interview. You have to take two sets of application documents .Both should be Xerox copies. Take all the original documents separately.

After your first interview, you will be sent an email confirmation of your visa and it will also ask you to submit your passport along with the email at the nearest GERMANY EMBASSY OR CONSULATE.

Submit these documents along with your flight tickets and accommodation confirmation (if possible) to boost your chances of getting the visa early.

►Step 6►
When your passport will ready to pick up embassy will update the list of applicant with approval of their visa . visa will stamped in your passport.
After your visa stamping, you are all set to fly to Germany & Can buy some sweets for our group members!!!
