The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) will launch new trading platform by December this year to get rid of repeated technical glitches, occurred particularly on occasions of some debut tradings with huge trade volume.
This was revealed at an inaugural session of month-long training programme that began at the DSE Training Centre recently.
"It is expected to start with new trading platform by December," said a DSE statement issued on Sunday. DSE managing director Professor Swapan Kumar Bala inaugurated the programme.
The representative of DSE TREC holders, authorised dealers of all brokerage houses and heads of IT department are taking part at the month-long training programme to be familiar about the new trading software.
"After launching the new world-class' trading platform, the market depth will increase and DSE will be able to introduce new trading instruments like Exchange Traded Fund (ETF)," said Mr Swapan Kumar Bala.
The prime bourse on March 21, this year, signed agreements with two US-based companies - NASDAQ OMX and FlexTrade Systems - to upgrade its existing trading system.
NASDAQ OMX and FlexTrade Systems are working from March this year to upgrade its existing trading system to a 'next-generation, world-class' trading platform.
