The country's port city bourse has formally launched its official
facebook page as part of their continuous move to disseminate right
information quickly to investors, officials said.
Chairman of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mazid Monday launched the facebook page at a press briefing held at the CSE's Dhaka office.

The facebook ID of the port city bourse is www.facebook.com/bangladeshcse.
CSE Managing Director Wali-ul Maroof Matin and other senior executives were present at the launching programme.
"We have become more public oriented by launching the CSE's official facebook. Now it's our responsibility to ensure the authenticity of the information that will be posted on our facebook page opened by maintaining legal sides," said CSE chairman Mr. Mazid.
CSE managing director Mr. Maroof said the stock exchange should disseminate authentic information for the sake of taking right decisions by the investors.
"Demand is created for information in the capital market as investors now are hungry for right information. That's why we have launched official facebook as social media linked users crossing the global boundary," said CSE managing director Mr. Maroof.
He said awareness of the investors have gone up by twenty times than that of the nineteenth century.
"Accurate information regarding the capital market and the activities of the port city bourse will be posted on our official facebook," said CSE managing director.
He said the CSE has also found five other facebook pages opened in the name of the port city bourse.
"We are talking to the authority of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to close other fake pages opened in the name of the CSE," CSE managing director Mr. Maroof added.
