Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.56%

Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.56% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which rose 2.03% or 17.0 points to trade at 855.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CO:GEN) added 2.02% or 18.0 points to end at 909.5 and ISS A/S (CO:ISS) was up 1.37% or 3.40 points to 250.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which fell 3.16% or 340 points to trade at 10430 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 3.04% or 320 points to end at 10220 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was down 2.25% or 13.0 points to 566.0.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 83 to 77 and 10 ended unchanged.

Shares in Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) rose to all time highs; rising 2.03% or 17.0 to 855.0. Shares in ISS A/S (CO:ISS) rose to all time highs; up 1.37% or 3.40 to 250.90.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.68% or 1.54 to $40.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.14% or 1.40 to hit $43.05 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.27% or 13.50 to trade at $1050.00 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.66% to 7.0621, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4594.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.58% at 100.45.
