Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Holding Firms, Property and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC), which rose 1.48% or 0.700 points to trade at 47.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) added 0.58% or 1.200 points to end at 207.200 and Metro Pacifi I (PS:MPI) was up 0.19% or 0.010 points to 5.260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which fell 4.86% or 0.250 points to trade at 4.890 at the close. Energy Develop (PS:EDC) declined 4.21% or 0.260 points to end at 5.910 and Alliance Globa (PS:AGI) was down 3.51% or 0.600 points to 16.500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 122 to 56 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.20% or 2.10 to $1073.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.54% or 0.20 to hit $37.85 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.88% or 0.36 to trade at $41.09 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.27% to 7.3443, while USD/PHP fell 0.12% to 47.138.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 98.53.
