Sweden stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 0.25%

Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.25%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 2.92% or 2.30 points to trade at 80.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 2.71% or 1.60 points to end at 60.65 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 0.32% or 0.40 points to 126.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs), which fell 2.56% or 6.0 points to trade at 228.7 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.85% or 0.38 points to end at 20.14 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 1.48% or 1.80 points to 119.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 349 to 237 and 6 ended unchanged.

Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.85% or 0.38 to 20.14.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.33% or 0.48 to $35.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, 

Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.91% or 0.70 to hit $36.17 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.31% or 14.00 to trade at $1079.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.05% to 9.2936, while USD/SEK fell 0.53% to 8.5087.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 98.39.
