Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 0.17%

Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , Auto and Computers & Peripherals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Microelectroni (TW:2314), which rose 10.00% or 1.00 points to trade at 11.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Lan Fa Textile (TW:1459) added 9.79% or 0.95 points to end at 10.65 and Kindom Constr (TW:2520) was up 9.74% or 1.50 points to 16.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J Touch (TW:3584), which fell 9.86% or 0.48 points to trade at 4.39 at the close. Onano (TW:6405) declined 7.80% or 1.65 points to end at 19.50 and Fu Hsing Indu (TW:9924) was down 4.80% or 2.20 points to 43.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 428 to 416 and 1 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.76% or 0.67 to $37.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.43% or 0.16 to hit $37.45 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.18% or 1.90 to trade at $1069.90 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.26% to 32.941, while TWD/CNY rose 0.15% to 0.1966.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 98.25.
